- SGUARDI online - Premi: World Press Photo 2008 Www Nudeactressworld Szh Index Php Mod 01 Archivo Nude Actress WorldQuattro gli italiani premiati in questa edizione: Francesco Zizola (secondo premio storie nella categoria Gente, con un reportage realizzato per Internazionale che mostra i diversi aspetti della violenza in Colombia), Simona Ghizzoni (terzo premio foto singole nella categoria Ritratti, con il lavoro "La casa delle bambine che non mangiano" sui disturbi dell'alimentazione e sul lungo e difficile percorso di guarigione), Stefano de Luigi (secondo premio foto singole nella categoria Arte, con il progetto "Cinema Mundi", una narrazione appassionata e visionaria di un cinema poco conosciuto, vivissimo e in moto verso l'affermazione che spazia da Shanghai a Mosca passando per Teheran), Massimo Siragusa (secondo premio Storie nella categoria Arte, con il reportage sul tempo libero, un abbraccio fotografico ideale di tutta l'Italia, dal Trentino alla Sicilia).
La distribuzione geografica dei partecipanti è stata ancora più ampia dello scorso anno, con una notevole presenza al concorso di fotografi provenienti da Paesi del centro e sud America, che quest'anno hanno visto un incremento delle partecipazioni del 20% rispetto al 2007. Il 20% dei partecipanti a questa edizione provengono da paesi asiatici. La Cina, con 400 fotografiche hanno sottoposto il loro lavoro al premio, è il secondo paese dopo gli Stati Uniti, con 748 fotografi. Anche l'India, con 165 fotografi professionisti, ha avuto una buona presenza.
